About

The Atlas Club was formed by our founder, Joe, in late 2024.
"I'd had a difficult year - in the space of 10 months, I'd split with my long-term partner, lost my job and had my car written off. I had always been into fitness but at that point, I was in the worst shape I had ever been in and had not considered my mental health as something I needed to worry about - ever. In February I decided that I would try therapy to see if it could help me. This decision was probably the best I had made for many years, and although I didn't know it at the time, would change my whole outlook on life. During a conversation with my therapist, we discussed whether I wanted to go back into the corporate world or follow my dream of working for myself. We saw this as a sign to give something a go - and The Atlas Club was born".
Joe
Joe has been a keen sportsperson since his youth, playing team and individual sports. After leaving University he worked for a County Cricket Board. He is an ECB qualified coach and has worked with juniors and seniors, coaching from beginners to a semi-professional level. During this time he became interested in how fitness affects sporting performance, but also how the mental side of the game was vital for match winning performances. Given his life changing experiences in 2024, he recognised the importance of helping the whole person and how many fitness regimes ignore the mental health element. He is now launching this exciting new business, The Atlas Club, to help everyone work on their goals. He holds a Level 2 Fitness Instructor, Level 3 Personal Trainer and Level 2 Mental Health First Aid.
